Experience:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Development Studies, Gender Studies,
Political Science, Public Administration, Law, or any other relevant discipline from a recognized university.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in advocacy, community mobilization, women’s rights, child rights, social development, project implementation, or related fields.
Experience in designing and implementing advocacy initiatives, awareness campaigns, and stakeholder engagement activities.
Experience working with NGOs, donor-funded projects, government institutions, and community stakeholders.
Strong communication, coordination, facilitation, networking, and interpersonal skills.
Proven experience in monitoring, documentation, reporting, and field supervision.
Excellent report writing skills in Bangla and English.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Sound understanding of child protection, safeguarding, gender equality, disability inclusion,
labour rights, and development programming.
Ability to undertake regular field visits and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.

Karmojibi Nari (KN) is a women-led national organization committed to promoting the rights, dignity, leadership, and socio-economic empowerment of women workers in Bangladesh. KN is implementing the project 'Childcare Models to Advance Women’s Economic Empowerment', supported by Oxfam Bangladesh.
The project aims to strengthen access to quality childcare services for working women, promote child wellbeing and protection, and contribute to women’s economic empowerment through community-based childcare models and advocacy initiatives.
To support the implementation of this project from April 2026 to December 2026, KN invites applications from qualified and motivated candidates for the position of Project Officer – Program and Advocacy to ensure effective financial management and administrative operations of the project.
Job Responsibilities
The Project Officer Program and Advocacy will support the planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring, documentation, and reporting of advocacy and community engagement activities under the project. S/he will work under the supervision of the Project Manager and maintain close coordination with project stakeholders, community representatives, women workers, local authorities, and relevant networks to promote rights-based approaches and strengthen community participation.
Key Responsibilities
Advocacy and Project Implementation
Support the development and implementation of advocacy strategies in line with project goals and objectives.
Organize awareness meetings, workshops, campaigns, training sessions, and consultation meetings with relevant stakeholders.
Implement rights-based interventions focusing on women workers, domestic workers, child protection, and care services.
Maintain regular communication and coordination with community groups, beneficiaries, local authorities, and relevant stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, donor requirements, safeguarding standards, and project guidelines.
Monitoring, Documentation, and Reporting
Conduct regular field visits to monitor project activities and ensure quality implementation.
Follow up field-level interventions and provide necessary technical support to project participants and stakeholders.
Document project progress, achievements, challenges, lessons learned, case studies, and success stories.
Collect, verify, compile, and maintain project-related data and records.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and other reports as required by the organization and donor.
Community Mobilization and Advocacy
Strengthen community leadership and promote participatory approaches at community level.
Facilitate community engagement and advocacy initiatives to promote the rights of women workers and domestic workers.
Support networking, coalition building, and collaboration with relevant organizations and stakeholders.
Participate in meetings, networking events, advocacy forums, and stakeholder consultations as required.
Gender, Safeguarding, and Communication
Ensure compliance with gender equality, safeguarding, and child protection policies throughout
project implementation.
Promote inclusive and rights-based approaches in all project interventions.
Support project visibility, communication, documentation, and advocacy-related activities.
Other Responsibilities
Participate in organizational planning, learning, monitoring, and review processes.
Provide support to project team members as required.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Project Manager or organizational management in
support of project objectives.
Job Location
Dhaka, Bangladesh, with frequent travel to project intervention areas as required.
BDT 40,000 per month (inclusive of all admissible benefits).
