Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Facilitate various training, meeting, workshop with CBO leaders, community peoples, stakeholders and community facilitators
∎ Build relationships with individuals, CBO leaders, social groups, institutions, and organizations.
∎ Encourage, affirm, and strengthen those individuals and groups who are working for and with the most vulnerable children and households.
∎ Encourage and engage the community leaders with the project intervention for ensuring sustainable development.
∎ Facilitate relationship building and strengthen relationships and partnerships between CBOs and government departments and service providers from government and private sectors.
∎ Coordinate with AP level technical specialists and other sector staffs for effective program integration and quality implementation.
∎ Select, train, support and monitor community facilitators/ groups in implementing project related planned activities.
∎ Monitor progress of the Community Based Organization’s intervention and support to fill the gap towards building sustainable organization.
∎ Ensure monitoring and evaluation of activities as per M&E systems, tools and guidelines.
∎ The purpose of the position is to implement GPOP expansion project activities effectively and efficiently at the Upazila and community-level to achieve child well-being. The PO is also responsible for supporting the cooperatives for organizational sustainability and targeted poor/ultra-poor HHs to improve economic status. Each PO is responsible for World Vision’s activities in a defined project area with identified target communities.
∎ This position serves as the primary link between World Vision (including technical specialists and sponsorship staff), communities and local partners. The PO will mobilize community engagement, identify local partners, assess and build their capacity, and empower them to work together to plan and implement project activities. This position is responsible for local level advocacy through coordination with key stakeholders.
∎ The PO will work with the Upazila level project team to established appropriate networking and advocacy for effective collaborative efforts for program sustainability while ensuring community participation.
∎ *This project is the Gender Inclusive Pathways out of Poverty for Vulnerable Household in Cox’s Bazar Project (GPOP) expansion project and Recruitment is contingent upon funding
