Experience:
Master’s degree from any recognized university in Bangladesh or abroad
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in teaching or managing academic programs is required. Relevant experience in the industry or public sector will also be taken into consideration.
Demonstrated capability to work under pressure and creative thinking in the management of academic programs.
Exceptional communication skills, including speaking and writing effectively in English and Bangla. Communication skills in maintaining laision with varioius government, private sector and individuals including students and faculties are specially required
Position Summary:
BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD) at Brac University in Dhaka, Bangladesh, seeks someone to support the Academic programme cluster at BIGD. We are seeking an individual with substantial experience in managing academic or training programs.
Job Responsibilities:
The Program Coordinator/Program Manager will primarily be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of coursework and internships of BIGD’s Academic Programs. The person will also assist the academic cluster lead for the selection of trainers, training plan, and assessment of trainees as per the requirement of the training programs. He or she will also perform all other tasks assigned by the cluster lead.

Major responsibilities include:
Students’ Enrollment:
Plan and implement students’ enrolment as per the intake plan and ensure the required data entry into various online and offline tools.
Training Delivery:
Prepare semester-wise training plans, supervise training sessions, and oversee assessment procedures applied by individual course trainers. Arrange guest speakers’ sessions, send course outlines to trainers and finalize class schedules for classroom/online training in consultation with trainers. Manage course evaluation including preparing evaluation reports.
Training Pedagogy:
Explore effective learning pedagogies and prepare trainers accordingly. Supervise the management of training materials and logistics for training sessions and EDC office.
Internship Management:
Plan internship placements, select academic and industry supervisors, and implement internship strategies and guidelines as outlined in the Business Plans. These include conducting induction meetings and follow-ups for interns and supervisors, monitoring internship progress, collecting reports and submitting them to the University. Additionally, explore improvements of these strategies and guidelines.
Curriculum Review:
Update the curriculum to align with industry needs based on suggestions on from consultations and feedback. Plan and organize curriculum review workshops.
Meetings and Events:
Plan and organize various events including meetings, orientation of new students, convocation of the graduate students etc.
Maintain Interactions:
Maintain interactions with BRACU’s academic and administrative procedures.
Other Responsibilities:
Perform any other pertinent tasks related to BIGD’s Academic Program assigned by the academic cluster lead.
