Job Context:
∎ We are looking for a self-motivated and result-driven Plant Manager to supervise the factory operations by leading a technical resources team and effectively co-operating with various peer groups within the organization. The plant manager is responsible for ensuring that deadlines are met while following health and safety protocols.
∎ To be a successful Plant Manager, you should have the ability to work with multiple discipline projects and demonstrate excellent plant management and supervision skills. You should also have excellent organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills.
∎ Report to: Deputy Managing Director
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Execute factory manufacturing strategic plan and aligning it with general plant strategy.
∎ Manage time-lines and work priorities and allocating resources to meet the assigned factory time-lines and goals.
∎ Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.
∎ Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
∎ To see that the safety standards are being maintained within the factory and workers are abiding by workplace safety rules.
∎ Supervise and oversee the Operations department skill improvement, training and safety programs. Ensure that an adequate number of trained personnel are available to maintain continuous and safe operation, even under adverse conditions.
∎ Issue new operating procedures, as required, and periodically reviews existing operating procedures and issues revisions, as deemed necessary, to ensure that they reflect correct and safe operating practices.
∎ Responsible for bulk LPG receiving, bottling operation, bulk delivery by Bobtail & Road Tankers.
∎ Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers' expectations.
∎ Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
∎ Leading the team of LPG Bottling Plant, Auto gas plant Installation and Reticulation Installation and lead the LPG plant erection and commissioning.
∎ Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping.
∎ Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions.
∎ Report normal, abnormal or emergency plant condition to the Management. Take necessary corrective action in accordance with established policy.
∎ Analyze operating results and equipment failures. Improve plant efficiency and performance by developing and implementing new methods to improve plant operation and reduce operating costs.
∎ Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and recruit, manage and develop plant staff.
∎ Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime.
∎ Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets.
∎ Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts
∎ Collaborate with sales agents, vendors and financial department to ensure the successful run of receiving and shipping schedule.
∎ Co-ordinate with local and foreign vendors/contractors for continuous execution and monitoring of the project.
∎ Collaborate with other factory managers to find best practices and the best solution and Demonstrates positive problem solving and communication skills when interacting with internal/external personnel.
∎ Organize the repair of any damaged equipment.
∎ Ensuring that factory machinery is in good working order.
∎ All other duties as directed by the Higher Management
Additional Requirements:
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ At least 6 years proven work experience as a Plant Manager within the LPG Bottling Industry.
∎ Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a factory.
∎ Knowledge of Mechanical materials, methods and the tools involved in the LPG Bottling Plant.
∎ Excellent communication skills.
∎ Exceptional budgeting and finance skills.
∎ Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Power Point/Word.
∎ Strong ability to organize effectively, delegate responsibility, solves problems quickly and communicates clearly.
∎ Leadership skills, including the ability to manage time effectively and handle both internal and external conflicts.
∎ Meticulous attention to detail.
∎ Strong work ethic.
∎ An overall "CAN DO" attitude.
