Requirements:

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Work with individuals, groups and parents to improve mental health of students.
∎ Encourage students to discuss emotions and experiences in a safe and non-judgmental environment.
∎ Examine issues including substance abuse, bullying, anger management, depression, relationships, self-image, stress , anxiety and other issues.
∎ Work with families for holistic wellbeing of students.
∎ Evaluating possible problems through conversations, interviews, and observations to determine correct testing or examination.
∎ Educating students on strategies and coping skills.
∎ Help students define goals, plan action and gain insight.
∎ Develop therapeutic processes and treatment goals.
∎ Take a holistic (mind and body) approach to mental health care.
∎ Counsel families to help them understand problems, define goals, and develop realistic action plans.
∎ Plan and organize seminars and workshops for students, teachers and parents.
∎ Classroom observation of children with behavioral issues.
∎ Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports.
∎ Write reports or evaluations.
∎ Complete documentation required by programs or regulations.
∎ Do any other work as assigned by the Principal and Vice Principal.
