  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paramedic or in emergency medical services, with exposure to high-stress environments.


Responsibilities & Context:
  • Respond quickly to emergency calls and mobilize promptly to the scene.

  • Prepare the ambulance and equipment for immediate use.

  • Assess the emergency scene for safety and determine the best approach to patient care.Perform primary checks on the patient, including airway, breathing, and circulation (ABC).

  • Provide advanced medical care, including intubation, IV therapy, medication, defibrillation, and wound treatment.

  • Administer pain relief and manage symptoms of illnesses like respiratory distress, seizures, and cardiac issues.

  • Monitor vital signs and patient conditions during transport, using advanced life support (ALS) techniques if needed.

  • Offer emotional support to patients and bystanders, explaining procedures calmly.

  • Ensure safe and quick transport of patients to appropriate medical facilities, especially those in critical condition.

  • Communicate patient details to hospital emergency departments before arrival to prepare them for immediate care.

  • Complete detailed patient care reports, documenting all assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately.

  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, hospital staff, and emergency personnel, providing updates and handover information.

  • Report incidents needing further investigation, including unusual cases, to the department coordinator.

  • Check medical equipment and supplies regularly to ensure they are operational and stocked.

  • Inspect the ambulance for cleanliness, mechanical issues, and fuel levels; report any issues to maintenance.

  • Follow strict infection control measures, including cleaning and sterilizing equipment and the ambulance after each call, and adhere to PPE protocols.
