Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, Sketchup, SmartDraw, SolidWorks, and engineering drawing.
Strong knowledge of solar/ Renewable Energy, system design principles, and industry standards.
Responsibilities & Context
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
System Design: Develop solar system designs aligned with both company and customer specifications (including Site Survey, Electrical Design & Simulation, DC & AC Cable Design, SLD Preparation etc.).
Project Planning and Scheduling: Prepare project implementation plans, work schedules/Gantt chart preparation, resource requirements, and timelines to ensure timely project completion.
Site Assessment and Preparation: Conduct site visits, assess installation feasibility, verify site readiness, and coordinate necessary preparatory work.
Solar System Installation: Supervise the installation of solar PV systems, including solar panels, mounting structures, inverters, cabling, and associated electrical equipment.
Project Coordination: Coordinate with Sales, Design & Engineering, Procurement, Operations, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
Material and Resource Management: Ensure the timely availability of project materials, tools, equipment, manpower and other resources required for installation.
Quality Assurance and Control: Ensure that installation work complies with approved designs, technical specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
Health, Safety and Environment (HSE): Implement workplace safety procedures and ensure compliance with electrical safety requirements and site-specific HSE guidelines.
Project Progress Monitoring: Monitor project milestones, identify implementation delays, resolve operational issues, and report progress against the approved schedule.
Testing, Commissioning and Handover: Coordinate system testing, commissioning, performance verification, preparation of as-built documentation, and formal handover to customers.
Reporting and Documentation: Maintain project records, installation reports, material consumption statements, completion reports, and other relevant documentation while supporting cost control and customer satisfaction.
Training & Support: Conducting training sessions and workshops to educate stakeholders on solar technology, installation best practices, and maintenance procedures. Providing technical support and assistance to customers, contractors, and sales teams.
