Experience:
Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical sales channels (retail, institutional, hospital, tender business).
Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
Strong negotiation and relationship management skills with doctors, pharmacists, distributors, and institutions.
Analytical ability to interpret sales data and market insights.
Ability to design and execute effective sales strategies.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM/Sales reporting Software.
Budget management and forecasting expertise.
Job Context:
As a National Sales Manager you will lead the entire sales team for Skin Care (Medicated)/Pharma products. The role requires strategic leadership in managing sales operations, driving business growth, and developing effective plans. It also involves close coordination with Brand, Creative, Sales, and Regulatory teams, and ensuring adherence to industry standards and operational efficiency.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and implement national sales strategies to achieve company objectives for revenue, growth, and market share/ Analyze sales trends, market opportunities, and competitor activities to identify new business growth areas/ Set national sales targets, allocate quotas to regional teams, and monitor performance.
Design and implement effective training programs for the sales team, focusing on product knowledge, scientific communication, and selling skills.
Monitor channel-wise sales (institutes, pharmacies, hospitals, distributors), Ensure timely credit realization and compliance with company's credit policies/ Maintain strict follow-up on stock levels, demand forecasts, inventory movement/ Optimize distribution channels and build strong relationships with distributors.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales performance reports for management. Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical industry regulations, ethical marketing practices, and company SOPs./ Work closely with finance to monitor pricing, discounts, and profitability.
Conduct performance appraisals, succession planning, and team capability building.
