Job Responsibilities:
∎ Tasks and responsibilities:
∎ Assist the STA with the project implementation and act as a project manager in the STA's absence.
∎ Manage day-to-day project activities related to the pesticides management.
∎ Work closely with the National Project Director (NPD), oversee and troubleshoot issues for the Project Management Unit established.
∎ Oversee implementation of the Letter of Agreements with various departments.
∎ Prepare Annual and Quarterly Progress Reports (APR, QPR), Annual and Quarterly work plans (AWP, QWP), budget, and 6-monthly Project Progress Reports.
∎ Communicate with the GEF focal points about the annual Project Implementation Review Reports (PIR), verify the content of standard project reporting documents before internal clearance and submission with PIC recommendations to the PSC for clearance;
∎ Provide technical support to the national staff regarding pesticide management, agriculture plastic containers recycling/incineration, hazardous waste, alternatives of pesticide, pesticide legislation, and poison surveillance center.
∎ Liaise with the Government authorities, ministries, and departments.
∎ Organize technical workshops and training for the project stakeholders.
∎ Work closely with the NPD, project executing agencies, and other national counterpart personnel to implement the project activities.
∎ In collaboration with the NPD, prepare the project's periodic progress reports and terminal reports for submission to the Government of Bangladesh.
∎ Coordinate work of the international and national consultants, and identify needs for new consultants.
∎ Develop ToR for the national consultant.
∎ Any other task assigned by the STA
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 10 years' experience of working in pesticides Management and Previous experience in the implementation or supervision of projects related to the management.
∎ Working knowledge of English (Level C) and Bangla
∎ National of Bangladesh
