∎ JOB PURPOSE: To provide technical support to the patients of BRAC Vision Centers through teleconsultation.
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Practice, promote, and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide consultation for all the patients of VC through teleconsultation
∎ Provide guidance to the patients for taking decisions on eye surgery and spectacle conversion
∎ Check the quality of the patient's examination by the Ophthalmic Assistants at the VCs
∎ Keep up-to-date knowledge and information on clinical issues of eye healthcare
∎ Participate in training on basic eye care for effective support on eye care
∎ Ensure patient satisfaction survey
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 15 years
∎ Good communication proficiency both in English & Bangla.
∎ Adequate skills in computer applications, Microsoft Word, Excel
∎ Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
∎ Sound Knowledge in public health field.
∎ Clinical decision making
∎ Compassion
∎ Ability to work independently
∎ 1 year of experience in the eyecare sector (including the provision of medical teleconsultation)
