Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Design and develop molds, dies, jigs, and fixtures for plastic injection and metal stamping/forming.
∎ Optimize mold design for mass production and ease of maintenance.
∎ Oversee mold trials, testing and validation of new and modified tooling.
∎ Collaborate with product designers to ensure manufacturability and material suitability.
∎ Select appropriate materials for molds/dies based on durability, product requirements, and cost.
∎ Evaluate and recommend suppliers for mold fabrication and tooling services.
∎ Monitor tooling condition and support preventive maintenance activities.
∎ Solve technical problems related to molding defects, material flow and dimensional inaccuracies.
∎ Ensure designs meet safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance standards.
∎ Job Summary:
∎ To lead the development, design and maintenance of injection molds and dies used in the production of plastic and metal parts for furniture and home decor products. The role supports manufacturing efficiency, product quality and cost optimization.
