Responsibilities & Context:


🔹 Financial Management & Control

  • Oversee all finance and accounting operations of the super shop / retail chain/cafe/pharmacy/others

  • Ensure accurate recording of sales, purchases, expenses, assets, and liabilities

  • Maintain cash book, bank book, general ledger, sub-ledger, trial balance, and financial statements

  • Monitor daily cash flow, bank balances, and working capital


🔹 Budgeting & Financial Planning

  • Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections

  • Analyze budget variances and recommend corrective actions

  • Support management with financial planning and cost optimization


🔹 Accounting & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, VAT/GST, and company policies

  • Prepare and submit statutory returns (VAT, Tax, Withholding, etc.)

  • Coordinate with auditors for internal and external audits

  • Maintain proper documentation for regulatory inspections


🔹 Revenue & Sales Accounting

  • Monitor daily sales reconciliation (POS vs ERP vs bank)

  • Ensure accurate recording of discounts, promotions, returns, and refunds

  • Analyze sales trends and profitability by department


🔹 Inventory & Cost Control

  • Coordinate with operations and inventory teams to ensure stock accuracy

  • Monitor inventory valuation, shrinkage, wastage, and write-offs

  • Implement cost control measures to reduce losses and improve margins


🔹 Expense Management

  • Approve staff claims, vendor bills, and operational expenses

  • Ensure timely and accurate payments to suppliers and employees


🔹 Banking & Treasury

  • Manage bank accounts, reconciliations, and fund transfers

  • Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions

  • Handle financing, credit facilities, and LC (if applicable)


🔹 ERP / System Management

  • Ensure proper use of ERP / accounting software

  • Improve financial processes through automation and system controls

  • Train finance staff on systems and compliance requirements


🔹 Reporting & Management Support

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

  • Support strategic decision-making with financial analysis




🎯 Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards & tax laws

  • Retail / Super Shop finance experience

  • ERP & POS system expertise
