Educational Requirements:
∎ B.Sc. in Nursing /M.Sc In Nursing/ MPH
Job Responsibilities:
∎ To conduct class and make the students understand better to their study and work in close collaboration with the teams at implementing the Clinical rotational plan and the academic program.
∎ Closely work with the students at theoretical besides practical classes.
∎ Prepare plan for lesion under supervision of principal.
∎ Assist to make academic calendar collaboration with the team.
∎ Assist to make result sheet collaboration with class teacher.
∎ Preserve the skill lab materials and make the students understand practically at practical class.
∎ Move outside as per schedule with the students to gather practical knowledge.
∎ To give extra emphasis for weak students to make them improve at their special subject.
∎ Contribute to preparing clinical rotational plan along with fellow preceptors for the students' clinical practice.
∎ Select clients for assessment in relation to course objectives, student's goals, and level of expertise of students.
∎ Orient students to the clinical sites with fellow preceptors and faculty, observe students, interactions with clients and identify gaps in service delivery.
∎ Maintain the skills lab, prepare the skills labs with fellow preceptors for specific session demonstrations and teach students through demonstration based on the session plan and the academic calendar.
∎ Supervise and Check logbooks filled by students, review the clinical learning at the end of each shift and assist students in writing about reflective practice in line with learning objectives along with fellow preceptors and faculty.
∎ Conduct assessment of student's performance and communicate with fellow preceptors and faculty regarding any students about her progresses.
∎ Conduct other activities as and when assigned by supervisors.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Must have excellent understanding of public health issues including social determinants and considerable experience of working in the area of maternal-newborn health in the country.
∎ Must have genuine interest in 'teaching' and ready to adhere to the set participatory method of teaching and session plans.
∎ Ready to adhere to the principles of 'adult to adult' teaching.
∎ Experience in demonstrative clinical skills as applicable.
∎ The candidate should be good in spoken and written English and should take English as the language of teaching;
∎ Computer skills: MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel with Bengali and English typing skills
∎ Strong interpersonal communication skills,
∎ Strong leadership and motivational skills.
∎ Strong analytical and reporting skills.
∎ Well conversant in Midwifery profession and knows Midwifery education in Bangladesh.
