Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Must have an MSc in Nursing, MPH, or a Master’s in a nursing-related field, along with a BSc in Nursing degree from a recognized university.
∎ Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience as an Instructor/Lecturer at the Basic/Post-Basic BSc in Nursing level in any reputed nursing college.
∎ Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Senior/Staff Nurse in any reputed public or private hospital.
∎ Must be registered with the Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council (BNMC).
∎ Teach undergraduate and postgraduate students to the highest professional standards.
∎ Evaluate and record students’ performance levels based on course objectives.
∎ Assess and grade students’ classwork, laboratory and clinical activities, assignments, and coursework.
∎ Plan, evaluate, and revise curricula, course content, course materials, and instructional methods.
∎ Participate in student admission and registration activities.
∎ Attend teachers’ meetings, committees, and conferences.
∎ Contribute to the development and implementation of teaching quality initiatives.
∎ Serve on academic or administrative committees dealing with institutional policies, departmental matters, and academic issues.
∎ Supervise nursing students during clinical training rotations, facilitating their participation in care and treatments, and counseling and evaluating their performance.
∎ Communicate clearly and directly with students, clinical site staff, and other coordinating professionals to ensure training and expectations are understood by all involved.
∎ Teach procedures and care protocols during clinical rotations, including proper medical documentation, and coordinate with clinical sites to schedule nursing students for shifts.
∎ Maintain positive relationships with students, their families, and PCND management to enhance services.
∎ Provide academic advising to students regarding their progress, career goals, and professional development.
∎ Serve as a mentor and role model, promoting ethical practice and professional behavior.

On the 21st of January, 2023, Prime Bank Foundation arranged its scholarship award-giving ceremony at a local hotel in the capital city. Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, MP, Speaker of Bangladesh National Parliament graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest while Professor Syed Manzoorul Islam, Educationalist was present as the Special Guest.
Azam J Chowdhury, Chairman of Prime Bank Foundation and East Cost Group, presided over the event. Tanjil Chowdhury, Chairman of Prime Bank PLC, the Directors of Prime Bank PLC, and the CEO of Prime Bank Foundation, Dr. Iqbal Anwar were also present. High officials from Prime Bank PLC and Prime Bank Foundation, the scholarship awardees and their guardians were also in attendance at the event.
One of Prime Bank Foundation’s brilliant initiatives is Education Support Programme (ESP). Operational since 2007, the programme has been providing scholarships to several underprivileged but meritorious students from all over Bangladesh. So far, 4,227 students have received scholarships from Education Support Programme, inclusive of the 260 awardees of 2022.
The awardees of 2022 received scholarships of BDT 2,600 monthly to meet their educational expenses until they graduate. These students have been selected by the Advisory Committee of the Education Support Programme, which consists of Professor M Q K Talukder, Professor Syed Manzoorul Islam & Rashida K Chowdhury.
Besides Education Support Programme, Prime Bank Foundation established Prime Bank Grammar School, Prime Bank Eye Hospital, and Prime College of Nursing, Dhaka. Additionally, the Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding with consultants on the 4th of January, 2023, for building an international standard 500-bed hospital at Ashulia, Savar, Dhaka. The construction of this state-of-the-art hospital will commence shortly and there are plans to establish a medical college too.
