Education:
A 4-year Honors & Master`s degree in Economics from a recognized university.
At least 3 (three) First Divisions/Classes/A Grades from SSC to the Master`s level.
Candidates with a PhD/MPhil degree in Economics from a recognized university at home or abroad will be given high preference.
Candidates with research expertise in any area of Economics will be given priority.
Candidates with a 3rd Class/Division or GPA/CGPA below 3.00 in any public examination need not apply.
The candidate should have a strong command of computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office.
To deliver lectures, lead discussions, and conduct tutorials for students in the Department of Economics. This includes developing course syllabi, designing course materials, and assessing and evaluating student performance.
To participate in the development and revision of the Economics curriculum, including creating new courses and updating existing ones to reflect changes in the field.
To engage in research and scholarly activities in the field of Economics. This includes conducting research, publishing articles in peer-reviewed journals, and presenting work at conferences.
To advise students on academic and career-related matters. This includes helping students plan their academic programs, select courses, and explore career opportunities.
To participate in departmental and university service activities. This includes serving on committees, attending meetings, and contributing to the overall functioning of the department and the university.
To stay current with advances in the field of Economics and participate in professional development activities, such as attending conferences and workshops, and pursuing advanced degrees.
To build partnerships with local colleges, community organizations, and other institutions to enhance the visibility and reputation of the Department of Economics. Collaborating with these partners to develop experiential learning opportunities for students.
To assist in the administration of the department, such as student recruitment and retention, budget management, and accreditation-related activities.
To perform other duties as needed to support the mission of the Department of Economics and the university.
