Education:
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mathematics
- Master of Science (MSc) in Mathematics
- Must hold a 4-year / 3-year Honours Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Mathematics from any recognized university.
- Preference will be given to applicants with an MPhil in Mathematics.
- Candidates must have achieved a minimum of three (3) First Divisions/Classes or A Grades.
- Candidates with a 3rd Class/Division or GPA/CGPA below 3.00 in any public examination need not apply.

- Age At most 35 years
- Experience in teaching will be an added advantage.
- Before being appointed as a Lecturer, the candidate must complete a one-year Teaching Assistantship. After one year, the final appointment as Lecturer will be subject to the standard recruitment process for the position.
- Candidates holding a foreign degree must submit an equivalence certificate issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh.
- For those with experience at the college or research institute level, half of that experience will be considered. College-level experience will be applicable only for relevant honors and master's courses.
- Additionally, experience gained from a research institute should be properly recognized.
- Experience from colleges or research institutes will be considered at 50% weight.
Responsibilities & Context:
The Lecturer will play a central role in teaching, mentoring, and contributing to research and departmental operations in the Department of Mathematics.
To deliver lectures, tutorials, and problem-solving sessions for students in the Department of Mathematics, ensuring clarity and engagement in teaching.
To prepare comprehensive course materials, including syllabi, lecture notes, assignments, quizzes, and examinations, in consultation with colleagues in the Department of Mathematics.
To assess student learning outcomes through assignments, quizzes, exams, and project-based evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support academic growth.
To provide academic guidance and mentoring to students, advising them on course selection, mathematical problem-solving approaches, and career opportunities in academia, research, and industry.
To actively engage in research within the field of Mathematics, contribute to Mathematics Olympiad activities, and publish scholarly work in reputed journals and academic conferences.
To collaborate with departmental colleagues and researchers in interdisciplinary projects that apply mathematical methods to other scientific and engineering disciplines.
To participate in professional development activities such as seminars, workshops, and training programs to remain updated with recent advancements in mathematical sciences and pedagogy.
To contribute to the establishment of academic and industry linkages that promote internships, higher studies, and career pathways for students of Mathematics.
To uphold high standards of teaching, research, and service while strictly adhering to the academic policies, procedures, and ethical values of Hamdard University Bangladesh.
To support departmental administration, including student recruitment, curriculum development, accreditation processes, and other academic initiatives.
