Additional Requirements: Responsibilities & Context: A Nurse Educator is a registered nurse (RN) who will play a crucial role in advancing nursing education and practice within our institution. This position requires extensive knowledge of current nursing & medical practices and a strong educational background to support and enhance the skills of our nursing staff.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and update nursing education programs and curricula to ensure they meet current best practices and regulatory standards.
- Develop and oversee training materials, lesson plans, and educational resources.
- Conduct classroom-based and hands-on training sessions for nursing staff, including lectures, demonstrations, and simulations.
- Facilitate workshops and seminars on various clinical skills, protocols, and advancements in nursing.
- Oversee and mentor nursing staff during clinical practice, ensuring adherence to best practices and hospital policies.
- Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and training sessions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to integrate nursing education with patient care practices and address educational needs and ensure alignment with clinical goals.
- Stay current with advancements in nursing practices, medical technology, and healthcare regulations as well as update and refine educational content based on new research and best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of educational activities, attendance, and performance evaluations.
- Prepare and present reports on educational outcomes and program effectiveness to hospital leadership.
- Provide leadership and support to nursing educators and staff, fostering a positive and collaborative learning environment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives by identifying areas for enhancement in nursing education and practice.
- Implement and evaluate strategies to improve the quality of patient care through education.
