∎ Specimen Collection: Collect blood and other specimens from patients using appropriate techniques and equipment.
∎ Specimen Management: Ensure all specimens are properly labeled, stored, and transported to the laboratory.
∎ Documentation: Maintain accurate records of patient information and specimen collection procedures.
∎ Hygiene and Safety: Adhere to strict hygiene protocols and safety guidelines to prevent contamination and infection.
∎ Equipment Maintenance: Prepare and sterilize laboratory equipment, and ensure it is in good working condition.
∎ Patient Communication: Provide clear and concise explanations to patients about the sample collection process and address their concerns.
∎ Quality Control: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all samples collected.
∎ Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all samples collected and processed.
∎ Attention to Detail: Accuracy and care are essential to ensure the integrity of test results.
∎ Communication Skills: Maintain the ability to communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals.
