At least 3 years of experience as a lab assistant in an educational institution.
Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment and safety procedures
Organized, responsible, and safety-conscious
Good communication skills and a willingness to assist both teachers and students
Responsibilities & Context:
Section : Admin
Report to : Head of Admin
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and set up laboratory equipment and materials for science practical classes (Physics, Chemistry and Biology)
- Assist teachers and students during experiments and practical sessions
- Maintain and organize laboratory instruments, glassware, and chemicals
- Ensure lab safety protocols are followed at all times
- Keep accurate inventory of lab materials and place timely orders for replenishment
- Clean and store equipment properly after use
- Assist in the disposal of hazardous waste in accordance with safety guidelines
