Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Textile designers are expected to be talented print and pattern designers. (Especially for digital print) suitable for jute fabric Create hand-drawn sketches, designs, flat patterns, technical drawings, and other required art /illustrations.
∎ Draw new motifs, create multiple colorways of existing designs, and arrange layouts Research the market trends (previous & current), theme, technology, and products via open sources like the internet, magazines, trend fairs, etc.
∎ Trend research is a big part of any textile designer's job. Competitive research can involve starting at the market and seeing what competitors are showing in their trend displays.
∎ Keep up to date with emerging fashion trends as well as general trends relating to fabrics, colors, and shapes Creating color pallets according to fabric requirement and seasonal trends.
∎ Create and curate a print collection Creating an idea and producing a design by hand or using computer-aided design (CAD) Development of new designs from idea generation to final product.
∎ Conceptualize, create, and help to execute season-wise collections/developments.
∎ Working in Illustrator, Photoshop, or any other Graphic software to develop the sketches (CAD), embroideries, prints & accessories.
∎ Understanding mood boards, color trends, material trends & different fabric qualities.
∎ Ensure the timely & successful design & development of products.
∎ Good understanding of fabric and ready-made garment dynamics Produce unique and attractive concepts.
∎ Develop and prepare offer samples of the design, coordinating their work in alignment to meet deadlines, etc.
∎ Keeping an up-to-date knowledge of current and upcoming fashion trends, noticing the general trend in fabric, color scheme, and shape of the garment, predicting the later advancement in upcoming trends, and developing fashion range accordingly Process, discussing designing ideas with the Head of Design /Creative director Be able to meet deadlines and work timelines within a budget framework.
∎ We are looking for a Designer with having educational background in fashion designing, with creativity and sound knowledge for developing burlap-based products for home décor, arts & crafts, etc.
