Educational Requirements:
∎ At least a Bachelor degree in Business, Economics, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or other relevant disciplines

∎ At least 4 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide technical leadership on the design of intervention strategies and activities related to improving SME competitiveness in the light engineering sector, as well as private-sector led workforce development
∎ Design and implement bundled business development and industrial process improvement initiatives for the project's SMEs, and relevant private sector partners
∎ Support implementation of the project's Private Sector Engagement strategy including cultivation and development of partnerships and design of joint venture agreements
∎ Manage budgets for assigned interventions and ensure efficient allocation of funding
∎ Provide technical guidance and support to field teams in the implementation of activities in Jashore, Bogura and Cox's Bazar as required
∎ Identify and assess training and capacity building needs of beneficiary MSMEs (both management and employees)
∎ In coordination with key partners, ensure that apprenticeship programming is relevant to local context
∎ Assist in the preparation of periodic progress reports
∎ Work closely with the Evidence & Analytics unit to periodically review and refine the project's theory of change, logical framework, results chains and indicators
Additional Requirements:
∎ A minimum of four years of experience in international development
∎ Demonstrated understanding of enterprise growth and workforce development initiatives
∎ Proven, practical experience with market development approaches
∎ Prior experience with USAID programs preferred
∎ Ability to work with team members and flexibility to adapt to different work conditions
∎ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
∎ Proven interpersonal and intercultural skills, including flexibility and sensitivity
∎ Demonstrate awareness and sensitivity to gender diversity
∎ Ability to travel and undertake fieldwork in rural contexts
∎ Written and oral communication skills in English, including the ability to present coherent and convincing messages to different audiences
∎ Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps
Salary:
∎ The remuneration package, work days and deliverables may change based on negotiations with the iDE management
