Educational Requirements:
∎ Has an undergraduate degree or major in Computer Science or related subject

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Work with staff and students in the Secondary section of the school, with responsibility to introduce and develop concepts, processes and skills related to the MYP Design Technology program.
∎ Should be creative in his or her thinking and approach to teaching Design
∎ Liaise with the MYP Coordinator to lead the Design Technology strategic planning.
∎ Lead and inspire staff to integrate technology into their lessons.
∎ Regularly update and discuss progress with Director Curriculum
∎ Has intermediate knowledge in programming languages such as python, C++, CSharp, Java, scratch and HTML5
∎ Knows multimedia applications such as Adobe Photoshop or similar software ( Video editing, Audio editing and image manipulation)
∎ Keep up to date with the latest developments for use in teaching and learning.
∎ Maintain all technology equipment and facilities effectively and ensure the safe use of the Technology room during lessons.
∎ Work with staff and pupils in Secondary section of the school, with responsibility to introduce and develop concepts, processes and skills related to Information and Communication technology.
∎ Support staff in their planning and use of hardware and software.
∎ Develop and run training sessions for staff on IT software and hardware for effective use in teaching and learning.
∎ Develop and run training sessions and workshops for students and parents on computer and internet safety.
∎ Develop and run after school clubs which make effective use of the range of hardware and software available to the school.
∎ Work in close collaboration with the school's IT Administrator.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 3 years English Medium teaching experience
∎ Experience and knowledge of curriculum design and development.
∎ Proven experience and depth as teacher of Technology, preferably with experience of IB MYP Technology.
∎ Proven experience and depth of technical ICT knowledge including an expertise in the use of a range of software and hardware including Windows and Apple systems and relevant programming language.

Salary: Negotiable
