Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Perform routine operation and maintenance of HVAC and electrical equipment, including FCUs, AHUs, central chiller plants, VRF Units, Treated Fresh Air Units, and all ancillary equipment such as thermostats, controls, valves, VFDs, and pumps.
∎ Be responsible for preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and emergency repairs of all HVAC equipment.
∎ Serve on call for school-related or social events, ensuring uninterrupted AC, electricity, and facility safety.
∎ Address work orders related to HVAC and electronic equipment/appliances.
∎ Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
∎ Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment and tools, to locate and correct the cause of breakdowns.
∎ Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and ensure compliance with codes.
∎ Advise management on potential operational hazards and equipment safety.
∎ Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Engineering Manager.
∎ Maintain daily/weekly logs of meter and monitoring equipment.
∎ Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and related documents.
∎ Maintain a library of all documents related to HVAC systems, including testing and commissioning documents, O & M Manuals, spare parts etc.
∎ Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and handle working loads of up to 50 pounds.
∎ Ability to move furniture up and down several flights of stairs.
∎ Ability to work off a ladder or elevated platform

∎ Employment Arrangements: Local Support Staff Grade 3
∎ Reports to and is evaluated by: Senior Engineering Manager
∎ Major Areas of Responsibility:
∎ Maintenance
