Job Summary:
The Housekeeping Intern will assist the housekeeping team in maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and organization across hotel/resort/residential areas. This role provides practical exposure to daily housekeeping operations, guest service standards, and operational procedures in a professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, public areas, corridors, and back-of-house areas.
Support laundry operations, including washing, ironing, folding, and organizing linens.
Learn and follow proper cleaning procedures, safety standards, and use of cleaning equipment.
Ensure supplies and amenities in rooms and common areas are replenished regularly.
Report maintenance issues, damaged items, or safety hazards to the supervisor.
Observe and learn about inventory management of housekeeping supplies and equipment.
Assist in preparing rooms for VIP or special guests under supervision.
Support team in organizing lost and found items and recordkeeping.
Participate in training sessions to understand hotel hygiene standards, guest satisfaction, and operational protocols.
