  • Lean Manufacturing knowledge/experience will be an added advantage

  • Knowledge of yarn dyeing and washing processes will be an advantage



Responsibilities & Context:
  • Develop and implement quality assurance strategies, standards, and objectives for yarn and fabric dyeing operations.

  • Ensure quality parameters are aligned with customer expectations, buyer requirements, and industry best practices.

  • Establish and monitor quality standards for fabric finishing processes to ensure compliance with buyer specifications.

  • Lead quality assurance across all stages of yarn dyeing, from material receipt through final inspection and packing.

  • Identify process variations and implement corrective and preventive actions to minimise shade variation, uneven dyeing, and re-dyeing.

  • Drive root cause analysis (RCA) for quality defects and ensure sustainable solutions are implemented.

  • Establish and monitor quality standards for fabric finishing processes, ensuring GSM, width, dimensional stability, and hand feel conform to buyer specifications.

  • Validate finished fabric through pre-delivery testing for shrinkage, spirality, color fastness, pilling, and bursting/tensile strength.

  • Authorize finished fabric release only against satisfactory test results.

  • Own the quality system for All Over Print (AOP) operations, covering strike-off approval, screen and design registration, print paste preparation, curing, and post-print washing.

  • Coordinate with Design and Merchandising teams regarding AOP artwork feasibility, strike-off submission, and buyer approval timelines.

  • Liaise with Merchandising and buyers regarding quality feedback and shade approvals.

  • Ensure proactive quality assurance and shipment inspection to support the zero-claim objective.

  • Address customer complaints, lead investigations, and establish preventive mechanisms to avoid recurrence.

  • Conduct periodic quality audits of subcontractors and maintain an approved vendor list with performance scorecards covering right-first-time performance, defect rates, and on-time delivery.

  • Ensure subcontracted goods are inspected upon receipt against the same internal and buyer quality standards applied to in-house production.

  • Ensure non-conforming lots are quarantined and formally dispositioned.

  • Deploy quality personnel and inspection protocols at subcontractor sites where volume or risk requires additional oversight.

  • Maintain full batch traceability for outsourced processes.

  • Monitor subcontracted production quality and ensure compliance with established quality standards.

  • Lead the QA team to ensure adherence to quality policies, procedures, and buyer requirements.

  • Build, coach, and develop a skilled quality team capable of maintaining consistent quality performance.

  • Strengthen team capability and accountability to support overall quality objectives.
