Responsibilities & Context:
Project Leadership & Governance
- Provide strategic leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
- Establish project objectives, execution strategies, milestones, and deliverables.
- Lead project governance and decision-making processes.
- Ensure alignment with organizational goals and contractual requirements.
Project Planning & Execution
- Oversee development and implementation of project execution plans.
- Monitor project schedule, cost, scope, and quality performance.
- Ensure timely completion of project activities and milestones.
- Resolve critical project issues and constraints.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the key representative for the organization with clients, consultants, contractors, and government authorities.
- Maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders.
- Lead project review meetings, steering committees, and progress presentations.
Financial Management
- Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow.
- Ensure effective cost control and resource utilization.
- Approve project expenditures within delegated authority.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and value engineering.
Risk & Compliance Management
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Lead project audits and compliance reviews.
Technical Oversight
- Provide guidance on technical matters affecting project outcomes.
- Review engineering deliverables and technical submissions.
- Ensure project execution complies with applicable industry standards and international best practices.
Team Leadership
- Build and lead a high-performing project team.
- Assign responsibilities and monitor performance.
- Mentor project managers, engineers, and support staff.
- Foster collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Quality, Safety & Sustainability
- Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems
- Promote a strong HSE culture across all project activities.
- Ensure project delivery meets quality and safety standards.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Provide periodic project status reports to senior management.
- Track project KPIs and performance indicators.
- Implement corrective actions where necessary.
