Responsibilities & Context:

Job Summary:

The Foreign Trade Sales Representative is responsible for developing overseas markets, managing international client relationships, and achieving export sales targets. This role requires strong negotiation skills, cross-cultural communication, and a deep understanding of international trade procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development Identify and target potential overseas clients through platforms like Alibaba, Global Sources, and trade shows. Conduct market research to analyze trends, competitors, and pricing strategies.
  • Generate leads and convert them into long-term business partnerships.
  • Sales & Negotiation Prepare quotations, negotiate terms (price, payment, delivery), and close deals.
  • Handle inquiries, RFQs, and follow up with clients to secure orders.
  • Achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets.
  • Order Execution & Logistics Coordinate with production, QC, and logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Manage export documentation (PI, PL, BL, CO, etc.) and comply with INCOTERMS (e.g., FOB, CIF).
  • Track shipments and resolve logistics issues (customs clearance, delays).
  • Client Relationship Management Maintain regular communication with existing clients to ensure satisfaction.
  • Address complaints and collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues.
  • Promote new products and upsell/cross-sell to maximize account value.
  • Market & Compliance Stay updated on trade regulations (e.g., tariffs, sanctions) and export/import policies.
  • Ensure compliance with international standards (e.g., ISO, CE, FDA) for target markets.
