Job Responsibilities:
∎ Installs, tests, and repairs security and fire alarm systems.
∎ Provides system recommendations.
∎ Uses blueprints or building plans to determine proper systems to install based on building layout and setting.
∎ Runs wiring and circuits, installs hardware, and attaches electrical wires.
∎ Inspects and tests systems, batteries, and electrical wiring; makes adjustments and repairs as required.
∎ Replaces malfunctioning hardware when necessary.
∎ Ensures systems comply with electrical and fire codes.
∎ Explains and demonstrates system function and operation to end users.
∎ Performs other related duties as required.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience in the relevant mentioned above area as Fire System Alarm Technician
∎ Extensive knowledge of security and fire alarm systems and installation.
∎ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
∎ Ability to read installation and system manuals.
∎ Ability to read blueprints and building plans.
∎ Extensive knowledge of electrical and fire codes.
∎ Ability to use hand and power tools to install hardware
