Educational Requirements:
∎ Professional qualification as Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) or Fellow Cost Management Accountant (FCMA) or Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) or any such qualification
∎ CA completed from a reputed CA Firm
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 10 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure the accuracy of accounting recording process in a timely manner and preparations of monthly financial statements as per the Group's accounting process and international standards
∎ Coordination with the auditors (Internal & External) of the Group in due process for completion of the task in a timely manner
∎ Play a pivotal role in building a comprehensive compliance governance framework to support the Group's businesses
∎ Ensuring compliance with the provisions applicable for the Group according to Income Tax Ordinance, 1984 and VAT & SD Act, 2012 and relevant rules of the Company Act, 1994
∎ Independently handle advisory and compliance engagements related to direct tax laws, such as tax structuring, advisory, on-going compliance and litigation support, etc
∎ Prepare VAT audit reports and communicate with regulatory VAT authorities professionally
∎ Monitor and analyze accounting data for efficient VAT planning (within current legislation to enable the Group to minimize the tax liability in a fully compliant manner)
∎ Be responsible for overall operations of commercial activities of the import, customs, industrial & commercial business strategies, negotiation & finalizing import documents, bank documents preparation and submission, etc.
∎ Maintain proper liaison with the government officials, C&F agents, concerned agencies, trade bodies, banks, shipping line, insurance companies, VAT department, internal departments of the Group, transport agents for export & import purpose, etc.
∎ Maintain confidentiality and data security in all forms of communication and information exchangement as per the Group's confidentiality and non-disclosure policy
∎ Assisting team leaders to update and improve accounting systems that satisfy the statutory and management information needs
∎ Completing the corporate affairs related works and compliance with RJSC and other relevant agencies
∎ Prepare regular analytical reports and summaries as per the top management requirement, and monthly financial reports for the Board of Directors meetings
∎ Collaborate and coordinate with the FinTech Department to develop new solutions and enhance existing product offerings
Additional Requirements:
∎ 10+ years experience in the relevant field
∎ Practical financial experience performing quarter end activities, financial modeling, forecasting and analysis
∎ Experience and practical knowledge on IFRS and IAS
∎ Having in-depth knowledge of accounting functions, management accounting and commercial operations
∎ Practical experience and knowledge on the Companies Act, 1994, Customs Act, 1969, Income Tax Ordinance, 1984 and VAT & SD Act, 2012 and relevant rules
∎ Must have good knowledge about Customs, C&F, shipping lines, bank correspondence & other statutory authorities
∎ Experience in the field of Import/Export through L/C, FDD & T/T, Freight Forwarding
∎ Ability to manage profitability, strategic planning, forecasting, corporate finance, developing budgets, and dealing with complexity
∎ Should be dynamic, well organized, self-driven and possess good interpersonal skills
∎ Must be tech-savvy and well accustomed to software solutions
