Job Context:

∎ Purpose statement: The person is responsible for the efficient management of Vat & Tax compliance, Vat & tax Planning and Vat & Tax efficiency of the company. The person is also accountable to maintain a close relationship with VAT, TAX & relevant authorities through Keeping all the VAT registers updated, maintain the records, registers & documents conforming as per VAT & Tax laws in a timely manner.

∎ Complying VAT/TAX activities on-time
∎ Document preservation
∎ Close liaison with relevant authority
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Operational/ Functional/ Business:
∎ Maintain liaison with VAT, Tax and relevant authorities and give responses to their queries.
∎ Preparing and maintaining all MUSAK (example 6.1, 6.2, 6.3, 6.6, 6.7, 6.8, 4.3 etc) to the appropriate vendors.
∎ Maintain Purchase and Sales Account Register as per VAT and SD Act 2012.
∎ Ensure compliance on VAT related all work (VDS of supplier bill, collection of vat challan with certificate-6.6).
∎ Advice Accounts payable team and vendors for correctness of VAT challan (Mushak 6.3 and other related documents) to comply with regulatory requirements.
∎ VAT law changes made through Finance Act in every year and monitor SRO's and circulars issued by NBR and their impact analysis.
∎ Preparing filling of all corporate and personal income TAX, VAT and Customs Duty matters timely and accurately.
∎ Provide training the relevant team members on updated knowledge of TAX and VAT laws.
∎ Prepare and review tax calculations, estimates and report the same to the authority
∎ Provide internal tax advisory services and support on business operational matters
∎ Ensuring Tax and VAT deductions are deposited to government treasury in the stipulated timeframe and issuing certificates to vendors from time to time
∎ Preparation of TDS, VDS and AIT reconciliation with GLs in software
Additional Requirements:
∎ Working experience in different retail supermarket
∎ Good communication & interpersonal skills, leadership & team building qualities, analytical ability, proactive and hard working
∎ 5-10 years working experience, retail industry is preferred. The applicants should have experience in the area(s): CA CC, Tax (VAT/ Customs Duty/ Income Tax)
