Responsibilities & Context:
∎ 1. Electrical Systems Management
∎ • Oversee operation and maintenance of electrical systems in control sheds, including automated climate control, ventilation, and lighting.
∎ • Ensure reliable backup power systems (generators, inverters) for uninterrupted operation of sensitive equipment.
∎ • Troubleshoot electrical faults in automated control panels and ensure quick resolution.
∎ • Implement power-saving measures while maintaining optimal conditions for bird health.
∎ 2. Mechanical Systems Management
∎ • Manage feed delivery systems, egg collection lines, HVAC units, and water supply systems specific to control sheds.
∎ • Ensure proper functioning of cooling pads, fans, and other mechanical components critical for controlled environments.
∎ • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all mechanical systems.
∎ • Supervise mechanical installations and modifications based on farm requirements.
∎ 3. Control Shed Automation & Maintenance
∎ • Oversee the operation of automated control systems, ensuring temperature, humidity, and ventilation are maintained within required parameters.
∎ • Ensure timely calibration of sensors and actuators in control sheds.
∎ • Monitor control shed performance and recommend system upgrades for better efficiency.
∎ 4. Team Management
∎ • Lead a team of electricians and mechanics, ensuring proper distribution of tasks across farms.
∎ • Provide hands-on training to the team on maintaining automated control systems.
∎ • Monitor team performance and ensure adherence to maintenance schedules.
∎ 5. Inventory & Spare Parts Management
∎ • Maintain an inventory of critical spares for electrical and mechanical systems in control sheds.
∎ • Source high-quality components and manage procurement within the approved budget.
∎ • Track spare part usage and forecast future needs to avoid downtime.
∎ 6. Compliance & Safety
∎ • Ensure all electrical and mechanical operations comply with safety standards and regulations.
∎ • Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective measures where needed.
∎ • Prepare for and participate in audits by regulatory authorities.
∎ 7. Cost & Budget Management
∎ • Prepare annual maintenance budgets for electrical and mechanical operations.
∎ • Track and manage expenses, ensuring adherence to approved budgets.
∎ • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives in maintenance operations.
