Educational Requirements:
∎ Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Science (MSc), Master of Social Science (MSS)
∎ U.S. degree (undergraduate and/or graduate degree from an accredited U.S. college or university).
∎ Previous participation in a U.S. government-funded exchange program.
∎ Valid standardized test scores such as IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, GRE, GMAT, etc. (Note: Expired scores are acceptable).
∎ Previous educational consulting and counseling experience.

Job Context:
∎ The American Corner Khulna, a joint initiative between the U.S. Embassy and Northern University of Business and Technology Khulna, is looking for an EducationUSA Coordinator.
∎ EducationUSA is a U.S. Department of State network of over 430 international student advising centers in more than 175 countries and territories. In Bangladesh, trained advisers from American Center at the U.S. Embassy Dhaka, the EMK Center, the American Corner Chittagong, and the American Corner Khulna provide virtual group information sessions and one-on-one advising services for students and parents free of charge. Job Responsibilities:
∎ EducationUSA's network of advisers works in more than 175 countries, dependencies, and territories. Advisers promote U.S. higher education by connecting international students to American institutions.
∎ The advisor is responsible for managing the planning and implementation of EdUSA activities held at the American Corner.
∎ The advisor directly reports to the Registrar of NUBTK and receives indirect supervision from the EdUSA Country Director at U.S. Embassy Dhaka.
∎ The advisor is responsible for overseeing all EdUSA outreach, student advising, data collection, program planning, marketing/promotional activities, and resource development related to providing accurate, comprehensive, and current information on U.S. higher education opportunities in Khulna.
∎ The advisor is responsible for establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with local educational institutions within and immediately surrounding Khulna.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Must reside within the Khulna division.
∎ Must have obtained a Postgraduate degree (major in any field of Business Administration, Social Sciences, Pure Sciences, Humanities etc.).
∎ Fluency in English and Bengali (spoken and written communication skills are required).
∎ Strong presentation skills – previous public speaking and/or debating experience is preferred.
∎ Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and Google Suite to complete work tasks.
∎ Experience in collecting and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data to draft reports.
∎ Ability to complete basic administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, responding to email inquiries, filing reports, and maintenance of the EdUSA library resources.
∎ Previous experience overseeing program planning and logistics.
∎ Familiarity with the Bangladeshi secondary and higher education system.
∎ Must have strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with the host institution (NUBTK), American Corner team, EdUSA Bangladesh team, EdUSA advisees, and U.S. higher education institution representatives.
∎ Familiarity with drafting content for Social Media platforms.
∎ Familiarity with conducting virtual programs on Zoom, Google Meet, and Facebook etc.
∎ Minimum of three years of previous work experience is required.
∎ Passion for working with young adults
