Experience:
Masters/MBA or Post Graduation from reputed Public or Private University.

Ability to manage & lead commercial team efficiently and effectively.
Practical and Proven Experience of leadership in commercial department.
Provide strategic leadership and oversight to the entire Commercial Department, covering Export, Import, Banking, Audit, and Compliance functions, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall business objectives.
Lead and guide section heads/managers of Export, Import, Banking, and Commercial Audit to ensure smooth operations, timely execution, and quality output.
Coordinate closely with Marketing & Merchandising, Production, and Accounts & Finance to finalize shipment plans, optimize fund utilization, and support business forecasting.
Ensure all commercial operations adhere to national laws, international trade regulations, BEPZA rules, and company SOPs.
Approve and monitor preparation of export invoices, packing lists, EXP processing, GSP/Form-A related documents, and other export documentation.
Supervise and authorize activities related to Master L/C collection, Back-to-Back L/C opening, amendments, discrepancy handling, and raw material procurement cycles.
Maintain high-level communication with foreign buyers, local buying houses, and banks to ensure accurate, timely document processing and issue resolution.
Represent the Commercial Department in meetings with top management, Board/Executive Committees, and provide strategic insights for operational improvements and decision-making.
Ensure timely submission of export documents to buyers or their representatives and follow up for Inspection Certificates, approvals, and shipment clearances.
Oversee submission of export documents to banks for negotiation, monitor payment realization, and ensure all receivables are collected within due timelines.
Supervise import documentation, L/C endorsement, customs clearance processes, and address operational bottlenecks to ensure timely release of consignments.
Oversee all LC-related tasks including HS code validation, customs guideline compliance, duty/tax structure review, and minimizing risk of penalties or delays.
Maintain robust relationships with government offices, C&F agents, freight forwarders, shipping agents, airlines, banks, customs stations, and liaison offices to ensure seamless local and international trade activities.
Ensure timely collection of PRC, Cash Incentive documents, UD amendment-related approvals, and negotiate favorable exchange rates with banks.
Monitor the submission of shipping documents to customs, maintain compliance with BEPZA regulations, and ensure all export/import documentation is updated, accurate, and audit-ready.
Evaluate department performance, identify process gaps, and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and cost savings across commercial operations.
Provide mentorship, training, and performance evaluation for commercial team members to strengthen capability and compliance awareness.
Lead all logistics-related planning for import/export, ensuring cost-effective freight selection, on-time shipment execution, and risk mitigation.
Perform any additional responsibilities assigned by top management.
