∎ Candidates for this position should possess a Master's degree in the related field along with a minimum of 7 years progressively relevant experience in academic administration, within a complex university environment. S/he should have in-depth knowledge of academic policies, regulations, and compliance requirements in higher education. Essential skills include exceptional organizational abilities, proficiency in producing high-quality written and data reports for senior management, and adept problem-solving and analytical capabilities. Academics with relevant administrative exposure would get preference.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ BRAC University (BRACU) is seeking a qualified individual to join as Deputy Registrar of the Office of the Registrar, contributing actively to its academic excellence and innovation mission. This pivotal position entails contributing to the strategic management and execution of academic policies, procedures, and services.
∎ BRACU is accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and approved by the Ministry of Education, Government of Bangladesh which has established itself as one of the leading private universities in Bangladesh. The university plays an integral role in developing skilled graduates for a knowledge-based economy. We are searching for a dynamic and seasoned individual to make a meaningful impact in higher education.
∎ RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ The Deputy Registrar will provide leadership and support for student academic services, including registration, enrollment verification, academic advising, and residential semester advising. Implement strategies to enhance the student experience and streamline administrative operations aligning with the university's mission, values, and objectives.
∎ The individual will oversee the management of the university's curriculum, including course scheduling, catalog maintenance, degree requirements, and academic calendar. S/he will lead the development, implementation, and interpretation of academic policies and procedures in alignment with institutional values, regulatory requirements, and best practices. Collaborate with academic departments and faculty to ensure policy compliance and academic standards. S/he will monitor changes in academic regulations, accreditation standards, and government policies, ensuring institutional compliance and facilitating accreditation reviews. Collaborate with legal counsel and regulatory bodies as needed.
∎ The position requires a solid understanding of university governance principles and practices, and knowledge of relevant laws, university statutes, and regulations.
