Experience:
Having 2nd Class in both Master`s and Bachelor (Hon’s) degree or CGPA 3.00 in both Masters and Bachelor (Hon’s) in any Subject from recognized public or private university.
Third class/division or equivalent at any level are not eligible for this position.
10 years in relevant field including 5/7 years as Senior Assistant Registrar/ Assistant Registrar or equivalent post in any public or private university.
Experience in similar position in any public/private university will get preference.
Job Description / Responsibility:
Arrangement of meetings of the Academic Council, Syndicate and different committees of the university, preparation and distribution of workings papers of the meetings, writing minutes of the meetings, distribution of extracts of the minutes, follow-up for implementation of the decisions of the meetings.
Assist the Registrar in the management of establishment matters, statutory compliances, meetings and contribute to the development of long-term strategic plans as well as goals for the Office of the Registrar, with a focus on continuous improvement, innovation, and service excellence.
Preparing the university`s Brochure/Catalog, Academic Calendar, Handbook, newsletter, Annual report, etc.
Correspond and maintain liaison with University Grants Commission of Bangladesh, Ministry of Education, and other regulatory or affiliated or collaborative bodies or authorities. Monitor changes in academic regulations, accreditation standards, and government policies, ensuring institutional compliance and facilitating accreditation reviews.
Assist to arrange different local and international seminars, symposiums, workshops, training program, international events etc.
Assist registrar office to organize university convocations and planning to execute convocation related events.
Ensure the proper usages and activities of classrooms, labs, library and auditorium, and holding of classes in scheduled time, attendance of faculty members and counseling done by the faculty members.
Knowledge in course curriculum, student management systems, learning management platforms, and online registration tools.
Lead the development, implementation, and interpretation of academic policies and procedures in alignment with institutional values, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
Ensure the accuracy, security and accessibility of academic records. Develop and maintain systems for record-keeping, data management, and reporting, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
Report on academic and non-academic scheduled activities like workshop, seminar, internship, field trip etc and circulate all notice and guideline approved by the authority.
Maintaining liaison with different departments and sections of the university to ensure policy compliance and academic standards.
Analyzes, evaluates, and organizes office operations and procedures.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by University Management from time to time.
