  • Carry out frequent walkthroughs of IPD areas to evaluate care quality, hygiene levels, and how patients experience their stay.

  • Assist both medical and administrative teams in resolving operational challenges and making daily workflows more efficient.

  • Generate and examine operational data related to patient admissions, discharges, complaints received, and satisfaction levels.

  • Educate frontline team members on proper patient handling, effective communication techniques, and delivering excellent service.

  • Ensure open and clear communication between patients, their family members or caregivers, and hospital staff.

  • Contribute to rolling out new processes, quality enhancement efforts, and continuous improvements within IPD operations.

  • Safeguard the privacy of patient information and consistently follow ethical practices in all situations.



Responsibilities & Context:
  • Organize urgent admissions and guarantee that inpatient services are fully prepared during crises.

  • To become informed about all hospital-related activities, such as handover procedures, OT calls, consultant-related matters, IPD billing, etc.

  • Maintain communication with doctors’ chambers regarding OT, test-related consultant information, and other necessary arrangements.

  • Supervise and monitor the rooms that have become vacant.

  • Ensure immediate doctor consultation in the Emergency department for OPD patients upon arrival.

  • Supervise and monitor external investigations.

  • Communicate with patients at the time of discharge and take feedback regarding the services provided.

  • Discuss with the duty doctor regarding which doctors are present in the OT and whether there are any issues or problems.

  • In case a patient leaves through DORB or passes away, inform the doctor over the phone, and after patient admission, arrange for reception staff to escort the patient to the respective floor.

  • Inform all concerned personnel if a patient’s condition deteriorates in the ICU/NICU, and ensure that IPD bill dues do not accumulate excessively.

  • Manage the routine functioning of the In-Patient Department to ensure consistent and effective service delivery.

  • Oversee the admission and discharge procedures for patients, making sure they are accurate, timely, and satisfied.

  • Keep track of bed inventory, patient movement, and bed occupancy to maximize the effective use of hospital resources.

  • Respond quickly to patient complaints and grievances in order to maintain service quality standards and ensure an effective resolution.

  • Coordinate closely with doctors, nurses, and other departments to guarantee smooth patient care and effective operations.

  • Verify that all records and paperwork adhere to hospital rules, procedures, and legal standards.

  • Perform routine inspections of IPD areas to evaluate care quality, hygiene, and patient experience.

  • Assist medical and administrative personnel in overcoming operational hurdles and refining workflows.

  • Generate and assess performance data concerning admissions, discharges, complaints, and feedback from patients.

  • Educate frontline staff on interacting with patients, communicating effectively, and delivering outstanding service.

  • Ensure transparent dialogue between patients, their families, and hospital personnel.

  • Contribute to rolling out new systems, quality enhancement efforts, and ongoing improvements in IPD operations.

  • Safeguard private patient information and consistently follow ethical guidelines.

  • Monthly IPD Discount Settlement Register.

  • Monthly IPD Dues Bill Register.

  • Resolve issues related to all types of hospital bills, including OT, IPD, OPD, Dialysis, NICU, ICU, etc.
