Job Context:
∎ We are seeking a dynamic, self-driven, and service-focused Deputy Manager (Supply Chain Management) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of experience in logistics and supply chain and be adept at managing a team of personnel. The role`s focus will be to ensure the smooth running of the supply chain and logistics as the business requires, as well as managing a dedicated team and ensuring maximum productivity within the department.
∎ Job Location: Corporate office, Dhaka.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy that ensures the efficient and timely procurement, storage, and distribution of LP Gas products to meet market demand.
∎ Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers to secure a consistent and high-quality supply of LP Gas products.
∎ Oversee inventory levels for various LP Gas products, optimizing stock levels, minimizing the costs and ensuring product availability.
∎ Manage the logistics and transportation of LP Gas products, coordinating with carriers, distribution centers, and delivery teams to ensure timely deliveries.
∎ Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to accurately forecast product demand, ensuring that supply chain operations align with market requirements and overall business goals.
∎ Identify opportunities for cost savings within the supply chain, including efficient procurement practices, transportation optimization, and inventory control.
∎ Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards related to LP Gas storage, handling, and transportation.
∎ Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions and ensure business continuity.
∎ Negotiate contracts, terms, and agreements with suppliers and logistics partners to optimize pricing, delivery terms, and service levels.
∎ Lead and supervise the supply chain team, continuously assess and improve supply chain processes to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and increase overall effectiveness.
∎ Generate regular reports on supply chain performance, inventory levels, delivery schedules, and cost analysis. Provide updates to senior management.
∎ Explore opportunities to implement sustainable and eco-friendly practices within the supply chain, aligning with environmental and corporate social responsibility goals.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 35 years
∎ Minimum 5 years of experience in relevant industry.
∎ Sound knowledge of import, banking operations, and customs clearing formalities.
∎ Problem-solving ability and finding innovative solutions.
∎ Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
∎ Ability to work under pressure.
∎ Proficiency in MS Office tools and excellent presentation skills.
∎ Operating knowledge of ERP/SAP.
∎ An overall "CAN DO" attitude.
