Educational Requirements:
∎ Master of Commerce (MCom) in CA Partly Qualified
∎ Candidates should be CA Partly Qualified/ CA Application level/ CS Partly Qualified/Income Tax Practitioner (ITP).
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
RJSC, Tax (VAT/ Customs Duty/ Income Tax), Tax Law, Taxation
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Audit Firms /Tax Consultant, Financial Consultants
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsibilities of Company Secretary:
∎ Convening and servicing annual general meeting (AGM), producing meeting agendas, taking minutes, conveying decisions, annual report filing and so on.
∎ Keeping up to date with any regulatory or statutory changes and policies that might affect the organization, keep company register, books and records of shares.
∎ Prepare board meeting minutes, arrange board meetings, registration of new company.
∎ Handle correspondence, collect information, write reports and communicate decisions to relevant company stakeholders.
∎ Proper & preserve documents of meeting minutes, RJSC work, annual return file & so on.
∎ Liaise with external regulators and advisers such as lawyers and auditors.
∎ Manage dividends and share option schemes opted by various shareholders.
∎ Take an active role and provide valuable input to the management decisions related to sharing issues, mergers, and takeovers.
∎ Responsibilities with company TAX/VAT:
∎ Prepare tax planning for each enterprise and update the plan in anticipation of the changes in the yearly Finance Act.
∎ Collect all the relevant SROs, changes by Finance Act, and circulate among all the relevant parties.
∎ Prepare audit reports with Tax & VAT compliance and handle professional Tax & VAT authorities individually.
∎ Liaison and closely work with Tax & VAT regulators and solve the barriers related to Tax & VAT issues.
∎ Provide necessary documents timely for preparing annual income tax return, withholding tax return, other return as well as to compliance the tax law.
∎ Ensure proper deduction of TDS and VDS at the time of payment and ensure timely deposit of the same. Maintain proper books of accounts related to Tax and VAT, and ensure availability of proper documents.
∎ Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns and maintain relevant books and records as per VAT Law. Issuing VDS certificate to the Vendors.
∎ Perform, review and coordinate the Accounts, Internal Audit department on preparation of Accounts Reports considering Tax & VAT.
∎ Handling of TAX & VAT audit conducted by concerned authorities.
∎ Calculate salary-related tax and ensure returns related to salary (108, 108A and statement of return of individuals)
∎ Responsibilities with RJSC related work :
∎ Perform, review and coordinate the RJSC, Business Trade License & any forms/schedules such as VI, X, XII, XV, Form 23b & any other legal activities of company
∎ Maintain Liaison with the respective consultant regarding RJSC work, expatriates work permit, trade license issue/update, bank account opening or any other relevant activities.
∎ Other works as when assigned by the superior(s)/ management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 50 years
∎ 3+ years of experience in company secretary related matter & VAT/TAX/RJSC related work.
∎ Constraints in developing proper tax practice in day to day activities
∎ Need to develop subordinates with updated rules and regulations
∎ Lack of support from existing vendors in terms of regulatory deductions and other relevant matters.
∎ Sound knowledge and experience with company secretarial work
∎ Strong administrative skills.
∎ Excellent documentation & filing skill.
∎ Excellent interpersonal communication at all levels (verbal and written)
∎ Self-motivated, responsible and goal oriented.
∎ Should have knowledge regarding RJSC filing, expatriates work permit paper work.
∎ The incumbent should be dynamic and have good communication skill & report writing with presentation.
∎ Sound knowledge in the field of TAX and VAT
∎ Having competencies in dealing tax officials at NBR
∎ Skilled in preparing company tax returns
∎ Should have experience in the field of Tax, VAT, Custom duty, Commercial Export-Import
∎ Should be conversant with Tax & VAT thereof with a clear understanding on it.
∎ Should have knowledge about Tax & VAT ordinance.
∎ Should be a team player having good interpersonal skills.
∎ Strong communication abilities in Bangla and English both oral and written.
∎ Computer literacy is must, especially in office package.
∎ Should have modern system adaptability & creativity.
∎ Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, dynamic and challenging environment.
∎ Should have honesty & integrity with positive attitude.
∎ The applicants with experience in the following area(s) will receive preference:
∎ Company Secretary, Financial Accounting, Finance, Tax (VAT/ Income Tax)
∎ Well documentation skill, deadline oriented, meticulous communication skill
∎ Timely deposit of amount deducted to GOVT. ex-chequer
∎ Timely production of documents required for Tax & VAT authorities.
∎ Compliance with salary tax
∎ Working Relationships
