Responsibilities & Context:
The Consultant (Echocardiography) will be responsible for performing and interpreting echocardiographic examinations, evaluating cardiac structure and function, preparing accurate diagnostic reports, and providing professional clinical guidance to support the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular diseases.
Key Responsibilities
Perform echocardiographic examinations, including 2D, M-mode, and Doppler echocardiography, as applicable.
Assess cardiac structure, chamber dimensions, ventricular function, valvular abnormalities, and other relevant cardiac parameters.
Interpret echocardiographic findings and prepare accurate, comprehensive diagnostic reports.
Identify significant cardiac abnormalities and communicate urgent findings promptly to the referring physician.
Maintain high standards of patient safety, comfort, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
Ensure the proper use of echocardiography equipment and adherence to infection prevention and control protocols.
Coordinate with cardiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to support appropriate patient care.
Maintain complete and accurate patient records and diagnostic documentation.
Follow established clinical protocols, quality assurance procedures, and applicable healthcare regulations.
Provide professional guidance to relevant diagnostic staff, where required
