∎ Historically, the Chief Financial Officer receives a vital place on the top management board and works side-by-side with the CEO of the organization. He is tasked with ensuring the business retains a positive financial outlook, no new strategy or plan happens without the go-ahead from the CFO. Needless to say, since The position gets this kind of influence and gravitas, the incumbent must have special competencies that take Years of hard work and experience, aided by loyalty to the company.
∎ CFO needs to be strategically minded and able to execute strategies flawlessly and must have tactical awareness of shifting markets and competitor behavior.
∎ He must also be adaptable to disruptions to revenue streams or know when to invest in something new to increase profitability. He is the highest port of call for all financial decision-making in an organization and is expected to assume his share of leadership responsibilities. He will be in charge of managing departments involved in purchasing, pricing, investments, tax, debt management, and accounts and finances.
∎ He must break away from the number-cruncher stereotype and think of himself as more of a strategic player in the company. He needs to be creative, understand best practices of the business, and know how to create more value for the company. There will always be a need for someone to balance the books, crunch the numbers, and perform critical routine tasks, but in our company, the CFO’s role is much more dynamic.

The CFO will have a day-to-day, ongoing impact on company operations, helping us to analyze, strategize, and grow our revenue and financial position. This seasoned strategist not only will understand current accounting practices and trends, but also will have experience raising capital and adapting to change. As a member of the C Suite, the CFO will be comfortable in a leadership role that requires a great business relationship with the other C suites to achieve business goals.
∎ Develop and implement best practices and tools to ensure a well-controlled yet flexible organization that has strong fiscal management, project coordination, cross-team communications, and workflows.
∎ Take responsibility for cash management, accounting, treasury, budgeting and financial reporting functions and help drive the company’s financial strategy.
∎ Coordinate development of annual operating, capital, and project budgets, as well as reporting for the same.
∎ Ensure cash flow is compatible with operations by overseeing day-to-day accounting, reporting, and internal-control activities of the organization
∎ Comply with national and international financial requirements by ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.
∎ Work with Functional Heads/Business Leaders to efficiently develop annual/quarterly budget and conduct monthly/quarterly/bi-annual actualization report.
∎ Research revenue opportunities and economic trends, analyze internal operations, and identify areas for cost optimization and process enhancement.
∎ Perform risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments, and evaluate and manage capital structure and fundraising initiatives.
∎ Monitor business performance through the ERP system, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports, with recommendations for CEO and Board of Directors.
