Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Planning and preparing a variety of dishes, ensuring high quality and presentation.
∎ Managing the kitchen staff, assigning tasks, and supervising food preparation.
∎ Monitoring food stock, ordering supplies, and managing inventory to ensure fresh ingredients.
∎ Creating new recipes and refining existing ones to meet customer preferences and seasonal availability.
∎ Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
∎ Managing food costs and minimizing waste while maintaining portion control and quality.
∎ Overseeing food plating and ensuring consistency in presentation.
∎ Collaborating with restaurant management to design menus and plan special events.
∎ Training and mentoring junior kitchen staff, ensuring efficient and skilled work performance.
∎ Adapting dishes to accommodate guests' dietary needs or special requests.
