Responsibilities & Context:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Biochemistry/Scientific officer/Medical technologist/Microbiology to perform routine and specialized biochemical analyses, ensure quality assurance, and support diagnostic services efficiently.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct diagnostic laboratory tests in areas such as Biochemistry, Microbiology, Immunology, Hematology, and Clinical Pathology.

• Prepare and analyze clinical samples (e.g., blood, urine, tissue) using advanced laboratory equipment and standardized techniques.

• Ensure quality control and calibration of laboratory instruments to maintain accuracy and reliability of test results.

• Interpret and validate test results, and promptly report findings to senior staff.

• Maintain accurate records of laboratory procedures, test results, and quality assurance activities.

• Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards to ensure a safe and compliant laboratory environment.

• Collaborate with other laboratory team members to support clinical decision-making and workflow efficiency.

• Troubleshoot technical issues related to laboratory instruments and procedures as needed.

• Assist in the development and implementation of new laboratory procedures and protocols.

• Monitor inventory levels and ensure the availability of reagents and consumables by informing the procurement team in a timely manner.

• Train and guide junior technologists or interns as assigned, fostering a supportive learning environment.

• Participate in and help organize weekly meetings to allocate tasks and clarify laboratory responsibilities.
