Experience:
Diploma or Certification in Baking & Pastry Arts or Culinary Arts
Specialized training in bakery operations from reputed institutions will be an added advantage
3 years of professional experience as a Bakery Chef or similar role.
Experience in a high-end café, hotel, or club bakery will be preferred.
Strong knowledge of baking techniques, dough fermentation, lamination, and dessert finishing.
Creativity in recipe development and food presentation.
Strong leadership, organization, and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and perform under pressure.
Excellent hygiene practices and understanding of food safety regulations.
Job Context: Gulshan Club Limited is seeking a passionate and experienced Bakery Chef for its premium Club Café & Bakery. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in artisan baking and dessert creation, capable of maintaining high standards of taste, quality, and presentation. The Bakery Chef will lead the bakery section, ensuring fresh and innovative baked goods are consistently available to delight club members and guests.
Job Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and produce a wide selection of bakery items including:
1. Artisan breads (sourdough, ciabatta, focaccia, baguette)
2. Soft breads and rolls (milk bread, brioche, dinner rolls, burger buns)
3. Croissants (classic butter croissant, almond croissant, chocolate croissant)
4. Pastries (Danish pastries, pain au chocolate, puff pastries)
5. Patties (chicken patties, beef patties, vegetable puffs)
6. Cakes (sponge cakes, mousse cakes, cheesecakes, pound cakes)
7. Cookies and biscuits (shortbread, chocolate chip, butter cookies, biscotti)
8. Tarts and pies (fruit tarts, lemon meringue, pecan pie, apple pie)
9. Muffins and cupcakes (banana walnut, blueberry, red velvet, chocolate)
10. Desserts (brownies, éclairs, profiteroles, panna cotta, crème brûlée)
Innovate and introduce new bakery items and seasonal recipes aligned with member preferences
Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, hygiene, and visual presentation
Monitor and manage baking schedules to ensure timely production during service hours
Oversee ingredient inventory, ordering, and proper storage in compliance with safety guidelines
Train, guide, and supervise junior bakers and kitchen assistants
Ensure a clean, organized, and hygienic bakery workstation
Collaborate with the Club Café and Food & Beverage team to coordinate service and menu planning
