Backend Developer

We are looking for a Backend Developer who will be responsible for building, maintaining, and improving the server-side architecture of our web and mobile applications. The developer will work closely with frontend developers, UI/UX designers, project managers, and other team members to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance software solutions.

The role requires strong knowledge of backend development, API design, database management, authentication, business logic implementation, and deployment-ready coding practices.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain backend applications using modern backend frameworks such as Django, Django REST Framework, Node.js, Laravel, or similar technologies.

Design, build, and optimize REST APIs for web and mobile applications.

Create and manage database models, relationships, migrations, and queries using databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or SQLite.

Implement secure authentication and authorization systems, including login, registration, role-based access, token authentication, and third-party login where required.

Work with frontend developers to connect backend APIs with web and mobile interfaces.

Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented backend code.

Debug, test, and fix backend issues, API errors, database problems, and server-side bugs.

Optimize backend performance, database queries, and API response times.

Integrate third-party services such as payment gateways, SMS gateways, email services, cloud storage, maps, and external APIs.

Manage file uploads, media handling, data validation, and error handling.

Ensure application security by following best practices for data protection, input validation, authentication, and permission management.

Assist in deployment, server setup, environment configuration, and production issue handling when required.

Collaborate with the team to understand project requirements and convert them into backend features.

Required Skills

Strong understanding of backend development concepts.

Experience with API development and database design.

Knowledge of authentication, permissions, and role-based systems.

Ability to write clean and structured code.

Good debugging and problem-solving skills.

Basic understanding of frontend-backend communication.

Familiarity with Git and version control.

Ability to work in a team and follow project requirements properly.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Django REST Framework.

Knowledge of PostgreSQL.

Experience with payment gateway integration such as SSLCommerz, bKash, Nagad, or Stripe.

Basic knowledge of deployment using VPS, Nginx, Gunicorn, Docker, or cloud platforms.

Understanding of scalable backend architecture and clean project structure.
