Job Responsibilities:
∎ Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards, including fire safety codes and guidelines.
∎ Emergency Response: Develop, implement, and regularly review emergency response plans, including fire evacuation procedures and first-aid protocols.
∎ Fire Safety: Manage and maintain fire safety equipment, conduct regular drills, and oversee fire prevention measures.
∎ Safety Training: Coordinate and conduct safety training sessions for employees, focusing on hazard identification, prevention, and emergency response.
∎ Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into workplace accidents, near-misses, and safety incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
∎ Safety Policies: Develop and update safety policies and procedures, ensuring they are communicated effectively to all employees.
∎ Safety Inspections: Conduct routine safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and unsafe practices, and take corrective actions as necessary.
∎ Safety Reporting: Maintain records of safety-related incidents, training, and safety equipment maintenance.
∎ Safety Committee: Collaborate with the safety committee to address safety concerns and implement safety improvement initiatives.
∎ Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with safety equipment suppliers and service providers.
∎ Budget Management: Manage the safety and fire prevention budget effectively.
∎ Maintain liaison with local FSCD.
∎ Any other task given by the management.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 35 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ This position may require working non-standard hours or being on-call for emergencies.
∎ The Assistant Manager/ Deputy Manager (Fire and Safety) is expected to keep current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
∎ Strong knowledge of fire safety codes and regulations.
∎ Minimum of 10 years of working experience in spinning/ garments industry in a supervisory or management position/ Minimum of 15 years of experience in FSCD, with 5 years in a supervisory or management position.
∎ Excellent communication and training skills.
∎ Ability to lead, influence, and foster a safety-conscious culture.
