• At least 07 years of teaching experience at university level, out of which 03 years as an Assistant Professor.

• Must have 05 publications to his/her credit, out of which 3 publications as Asst. Professor.

Position Description:

• BAIUST invites applications from dynamic, qualified, and committed individuals for the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Science and Humanities. The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching, research, academic leadership, and service to both the university and the broader academic community.

Key Responsibilities – Associate Professor (Mathematics):

• Teach undergraduate mathematics courses in accordance with the approved university curriculum, with emphasis on both foundational and advanced areas of mathematics. Core teaching subjects may include, but are not limited to: Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Real Analysis, Complex Analysis, Abstract Algebra, Probability and Statistics, Numerical Methods, Discrete Mathematics, Mathematical Modeling, and Applied Mathematics.
• Design and deliver engaging, research-informed instruction using modern pedagogical approaches that accommodate diverse learning styles, foster analytical skills, and encourage problem-solving and critical thinking.
• Mentor students in academic growth, supervise undergraduate and graduate research projects, and provide guidance on mathematics-related competitions, seminars, workshops, and career development.
• Conduct high-quality research in pure and applied mathematics, and publish in reputed peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings, both nationally and internationally.
• Ensure that teaching content reflects current mathematical research, applications in science and technology, and global advancements in mathematics education.
• Provide academic leadership within the department, contribute to faculty development, and support strategic initiatives, including curriculum enhancement and policy formulation.
• Actively participate in Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) activities, including program review, self-assessment, and continuous academic quality improvement.
• Contribute to the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curricula, ensuring alignment with global academic and professional standards.
• Engage in curriculum development, academic audits, and the creation of innovative course content that connects mathematics with interdisciplinary applications in science, engineering, technology, and social sciences.
• Establish and maintain collaborations with academic institutions, research organizations, and industries to provide students with opportunities for research, internships, workshops, and knowledge exchange.
• Represent the university at national and international academic forums, conferences, seminars, and research exchange programs to enhance the institution’s academic reputation.
• Participate in interdisciplinary collaborations, community outreach, and mathematics awareness programs, contributing to STEM education and societal development.
• Stay updated on emerging areas of mathematics such as data science, machine learning, computational mathematics, mathematical biology, and financial mathematics, integrating these developments into teaching, research, and innovation.
• Serve on academic and administrative committees of the university and actively contribute to institutional governance and decision-making.
• Undertake any additional duties and responsibilities assigned by the university authority in pursuit of academic excellence.

• Salary: As per the University`s Policy (Associate Professor - Grade 04).
