Education:

• Ph.D. or equivalent degree in the relevant field with a minimum of two First Class/Division/A Grades, of which at least one must be obtained in the undergraduate or graduate program.

• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the university level.

• At least 2 publications in peer-reviewed journals.

OR

• M.Phil. or equivalent degree in the relevant field with a minimum of two First Class/Division/A Grades.

• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the university level.

• At least 3 publications in peer-reviewed journals.

OR

• B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Mathematics from a reputed and recognized university, with at least three First Class/Division/A Grades across the entire academic record.

• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the university level.

• At least 3 publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Position Description:

• BAIUST invites applications from dynamic, qualified, and committed individuals for the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Science and Humanities. The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching, research, academic leadership, and service to both the university and the broader academic community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach undergraduate mathematics courses in accordance with the approved university curriculum, with particular emphasis on providing strong foundational knowledge in all core areas of Mathematics.

• Provide academic service and leadership within the department, and actively contribute to the broader academic and professional communities.

• Contribute to the advancement of Mathematics through high-quality research, scholarly publications, and participation in academic conferences and workshops.

• Demonstrate a strong commitment to effective undergraduate instruction, the development of innovative course materials, and the mentoring of students in both academic research and professional growth.

• Ensure that teaching content is informed by the latest developments in mathematical research, applications, and global advancements in mathematics education.

• Develop and apply modern pedagogical techniques that address the needs of diverse learners and foster analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and intellectual engagement across various fields of Mathematics.

• Undertake any additional duties and responsibilities assigned by the university authority in pursuit of academic excellence and institutional goals.

• Salary: As per the University`s Policy (Assistant Professor - Grade 6).
