Educational Requirements:
∎ An ideal candidate should have a Bachelor and / or Master's degree from any recognized university preferably in Commerce / Business Studies. An MBA / Post-Graduate Diploma in Supply Chain Management / Financial Management will be an added advantage
Experience Requirements:
∎ 5 to 7 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Lead the supply chain team to achieve departmental and company objectives
∎ Responsible for development and implementation of Supply Chain Policy, Procedures and Strategy aligned with organization goal and in accordance with SML Global Policy
∎ Strategize the Supply Chain function to ensure cost optimization, risk management and efficient operation
∎ Drive the Supply Chain KPIs through the implementation of best practices
∎ Responsible for the complete procurement function to ensure timely & cost-effective acquisition of raw materials, consumables & spare parts, ensuring best quality as per applicable standards
∎ Plan, manage and coordinate all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of manufacturing raw materials to successfully manage a highly fluctuating market demand
∎ Responsible for overseeing Demand Planning, Inventory Turnover and Control / Stock Count / Cycle Counting, Material Movement and Cost Analysis, Trend Analysis, Maintain Stock Re-order Level / Safety Stock, Market Intelligence
∎ Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service & Finance Teams
∎ Implement process improvement across the supply chain function
∎ Responsible for developing effective supplier base / best vendor, maintaining efficient business relationship and conduct periodic assessment / review of supplier performance
∎ Negotiate with freight forwarders to reduce the freight cost, aiming for Zero Air Freight Cost
∎ Resolve Supply Chain issues that will drive the growth and profitability of the company
∎ Inspire and motivate the supply chain team to go extra miles and bring results to achieve the company's goals
Additional Requirements:
∎ The applicants should have minimum 5 - 7 (Five to Seven) years of relevant working experience in Supply Chain function in similar industry
∎ Should be a pleasant personality, smart and well groomed
∎ Should work well independently as well as in a big team
∎ Should be self motivated, organized and disciplined
∎ Should have patience and good negotiation capability
∎ Should have keen sense of punctuality along with ethical and professional responsibility
∎ Should be willing to work additional hours if it is required to finish the assigned responsibility
∎ Should have knowledge in MS Office, ERP & other computer applications
∎ Should have good analytical ability, good communication skill in English - both written & verbal
