Bachelor`s or Master`s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field from a well reputed institute

• At least 10 years

• Minimum 10 years of experience in software development with a focus on full-stack or back-end development, preferably in a corporate environment

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript

• Experience with frameworks like Spring, React, or Django

• Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns

• Experience with database systems like SQL, NoSQL, and ORM technologies

• Expertise in version control systems such as Git

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)

• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

• Experience with performance tuning and scalability strategies

• Familiarity with microservices architecture

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex technical challenges

• Ability to multitask and prioritize work on a continual basis

• Must be a self-starter with strong initiative and hard work ethic

• Strong presentation and delivery skills

Job Context

The Assistant Manager – Software Development is accountable for overseeing and contributing to the successful execution of software projects. The incumbent is also responsible for leading the development, testing, and maintenance of advanced software solutions, guiding junior developers and ensuring code quality. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design innovative solutions that meet business and customer needs.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the designing, coding, and maintenance of complex software applications focusing on scalability, efficiency, and security

• Analyze user requirements and translate them into technical solutions

• Lead the software development lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, and deployment

• Perform code reviews and enforce best practices to guarantee high-quality, maintainable code

• Report development with or without Power tools/SSRS like services

• Mentor and guide developers, fostering a collaborative team environment

• Debug and optimize existing codebases to improve performance

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project scope and deliverables

• Gather and evaluate user feedback and modify software for better usability

• Stay updated on new technologies, industry trends, and best practices in software development

• Lead the development of standards for documentation to ensure recovery capability, satisfactory and stable performance of the platform(s) and all applications and processes
