Job Context:
∎ We are looking for a potential candidate for a NY based investment management firm, who has strong follow up skills and is willing to in a challenging environment in which multiple tasks will be assigned at a time, and that too need to be done within tight deadlines. This position is responsible for financial planning, budgeting, controlling, forecasting & variance analysis, treasury & cash management, Tax & Vat planning, Accounts, internal control & compliance, foreign remittance, corporate regulatory reporting and compliance with all statutory requirements. He/She must have to Oversee the Company`s Finance, policies and procedures; prepare all financial statements, develop, implement and modify financial systems and internal control.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Prepare monthly, quarterly, half yearly, statutory accounts & ensure that the books of accounts have been maintained in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS's) and International Accounting Standards (IAS's) as adopted in Bangladesh, Companies Act and other rules and regulations as applicable for the Company.
∎ Manage, supervise and analyze all treasury related activities such as cash management, foreign remittance, cash forecasting, interest rate monitoring etc and approve process control as per preapproved limits to minimize risks.
∎ Maintaining liaison with Banks and other Financial Institutions, Board of Investment, Bangladesh Bank, NBR, RJSC consultants and other external stake holders regarding financial issues, in-ward/out-ward remittances, various approvals, and statutory compliance and reporting.
∎ File company's annual tax return. Reconcile and organize company's tax legacy, litigation, claims, counter claims to fully update the corporate tax status of the company within a reasonable time by ensuring proper tax benefit plan & other tax compliance of the company.
∎ Record all accounting and financial documents of the Company & establish/up-date financial policies, procedure/ systems/control to implement the plan.
∎ Ensure timely preparation of Bank Payment, Receipt and journal voucher.
∎ Ensure all necessary tax & Vat deduction from various sources & deposit with appropriate govt. authority within the time limit including Submission of VAT returns, reports and documentation.
∎ Deal with the auditors, bankers, external advisers, investors and other representative bodies, trade associations, Government departments, and other regulatory authorities.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 5 (Five) years proven experience of handling finance, accounts and operations in a large group of companies or multinational companies.
∎ Demonstrated experience of handling multiple projects across separate entities.
